Opening of the CZS Center SynGen

The first trans-regional Center for Synthetic Genomics was officially opened at a ceremony at Heidelberg University on March 4, 2024. In addition to the lead scientists, representatives of the Carl Zeiss Foundation and the participating universities also took part. The center, which is funded by the Carl Zeiss Foundation with 12 million euros, is intended to offer scientists a cross-disciplinary and cross-location platform for research and exchange.
