Once again, Center SynGen demonstrated the strength of its community. Group leaders and scientists from the Center’s different locations came together at KIT to connect beyond their day-to-day research activities.

The event provided a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where participants could step away from their routines and get to know one another on a more personal level. Over a pub quiz, snacks, drinks, and plenty of pizza 🍕, the gathering quickly became lively and engaging.

 

What stood out most was the openness of the conversations between scientist at different level of their career. Discussions flowed naturally, ranging from research topics and academic life to broader interests and personal experiences. It was inspiring to see how easily connections formed across institutions, disciplines, and locations.

Moments like these highlight the importance of building relationships beyond formal work environments. They provide valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, gain fresh perspectives, and strengthen the sense of community within Center SynGen.
